Mise En Place and Napkin Folding

In my HRM 8 we had a napkin folding exam. Prior to that I didn't not know that we will have it because no one told me. Thank God I was still able to memorize 10 kinds of napkin foldings on that right hour. Aside from the napkin folding exam we had to do table setting, mise en place in other term. With all the information I've got I didn't blow it up. I was able to do the table setting well.

Aside from those. We were also told to make napkin foldings using paper napkin and ,again , I didn't knew that we will have this because no one told me. It's hard to have no friends at school. Huh!

HRM 8's Group 1 Pretesting

First of all I would like to thank my 5 subscribers/readers (It was 8 yesterday but it goes down to 5 today) You don't know how much it means to me. Thank You Very Very Much. So if you haven't subscribed yet please subscribe now. FYI: HRM 8 is a subject that I took this semester and just like in our HRM 2 we have to organize four "real" party. Real party in the sense that we will be selling tickets and we will not be the guests this time because we will be the one to prepare the food, serve, and entertain them (because our guests will pay for it.) during the party proper. We were grouped into 4.

The first group will have their party this December, the second one will be this January (My Group), The third will be this February (The month of Feb is Mah BIRTHDAY!) and the last one is on March which they will be having a wedding theme party. Pretesting of the dishes that will be included in the menu(the menu will be posted on the tickets to attract guests) is just a part of the preparation. That picture above is Group 1's work. These (maybe) are all the foods that you will be having if you will join. (of course it's not for free, as what I've said you need to buy the ticket.) They were assigned to have... a plated type of service so the 8 courses should be present from appetizer to dessert. The first picture was the finished product so let's rewind the preparation, shall we? Okay, Actually this was already the second time they had a pretesting because the first one was not successful and our teacher was not impressed by their work. It seems like they were not ready that time yet. That above picture is Mary Grace and Fabre. They cooked this Chinese-like dish.

Jennifer and her other group mates cooked this sweet dish which I think it's either a dessert or an appetizer. They were too many on some of the pics because I told them to just work so that the pics will come out realistic, candid that is, but they want to be on the pics all the time so even if I'm taking pictures not in their station they'll stood on that certain place and pretend watching their group mates as if they're assigned on that area. VANITY that is!

There's cookies, shrimps (one of my faves), bake bread something, egg with something yummy on top, and many more. Look how busy they were. I hope if it will already be our turn everything will be in order because I don't want to repeat all over again!!!

Christmas Breeze in SWU

Christmas is already in the air here in Southwestern University Last Monday the official opening of the christmas tree was held but I was not able to witness it because I still have a class to attend to.

Every year here in SWU in that same area a christmas tree is place with the same decorations. In the opening there was choir singing christmas songs and dance number. [3 MORE PHOTOS INSIDE]

Cebu Arrival. I Can't Believe It's Over!

After landing. That lady facing the cam is Ate Jen. Ate Jennifer say Hi to the camera. I learned in my HRM 16 (it's a subject that's part of our curriculum) that the running-like-machine where you get your luggage is called luggage carousel. So when we were at the luggage carousel I uttered words soemthing like "I want to have another tour" to my teacher. hahahaha

Sm Mall of Asia

Our last stop before going to the airport was SM Mall of Asia. This photo was in the back area of SM where the bay is situated. This was me and Grace. N.A.I.A. 3 Departure for Cebu

While arriving at the airport. It was a sad moment for me. I can't believe that the 3 days is over and we need to go home already. I don't want to go out in the bus coz I still want to stay and enjoy the beauty of Manila and its nearby cities but I guess it's not the right time. Maybe soon I will be back here only God knows. It was already lunch time when we left CCA so we headed directly to Tutuban Mall for our lunch. While going there we pass by some familiar place which I've never though I will see it for real. Eat Bulaga. Going back to Tutuban mall, it is just near Devesoria where you can find cheap goodies. From apparel to home equipments name it they have it plus in a cheaper price.

CCA - Center for Culinary Arts

I never thought that CCA is just in front of Atenio Coliseum. I was once want to see how Atenio Campus looks like and i didn't know it will be granted on this day. Going back to the topic CCA stands for Center for Culinary Arts Manila. From it's name its a school that teaches culinary. But you have to be rich or has the money because the tuition is unbelievable. For a 2 year program it's for Php 700,000+ and for just a year I think it will cost you Php 400,00+. lolz. Last Breakfast in Manila - Our 3rd and Last Day

Dinner at Subic!

After a very busy day we deserve to have a very decent dinner. Wahehehe! (Very demanding!) Thankfully what I wish for was granted. That dinner was the best meal that we had in the entire tour. Zoobic Safari

Our next stop after Ocean Adventure was a zoorific experience at the Zoobic Safari. I haven't seen camel or lion before so I was, again, very excited. As usual there was a resident tour guide who accompanied us. She toured us first at the.... [34 More Photos Inside!]

Tiger Safari. In here you need to ride a jeep that has a sort of protection so that the tigers will not eat you alive. hehe..Since we are 30 plus we were divided into two groups. We paid Php 10.00+ because we bought chicken meats to feed the tigers

Here the tiger goes. She/he was teased by my classmates in order for him/her to come closer.

She/he did come to us but I guess he/she was already full because he/she didn't even bother to snatch the chicken to us.

In my other classmates area one tiger tried to grab the yummy chicken

Very scary

One tiger ate our chicken meat. She/he even went on the top of the Jeep. We were shouting especially me. Because she/he got her/his self closer to my face like about 12 inches away from her so I was totally scared but was still confident that I can still go home without missing body parts because there was a metal protection!

We also went to the Tiger Cafe where you can buy souvenir but what they were selling is so common. You can buy that tiger stuff toy anywhere!!!

After that we went to the "Closer Encounter" with the tigers. Our tour guide said that we should be careful if the tiger is peeing because if you will get hit by it the smell will remain for 3 long days! hahahaha

They were covering their noses because they said it was very smelly but not to me. Its scent was just like the scent of BVLGARI homme perfumes. hahaha

We then visited their animal muzoooeum!

All the animals that can be found here are real but dead. Just like this. She/he died because of a bite of a venomous snake.

Inside. It's a bit creepy. hehehe

After that we went to the Aeta's trail. Aetas are believe to be the original filipinos.

They performed different dances and one of them even climbed into a long post without difficulties. So good!

Every area we visited had souvenir shops and this was in the Aeta's trail. All the products here are made by our friends. i want to buy a bow and arrow but I don't have the money.

Our next stop?

Crocooooooooooooooooos!!!

You can buy chicken meat again if you want and so my other classmates did. Look how many and hungry they are!!!

This is a white tiger. So nice. This must be precious to them because they have this separated from other tigers.

They have pet show but it was almost over when we got here.

Then next was the Serpentarium. sssssssssshhhssssssssss...

2nd Day: Subic Ocean Adventure

Our 2nd day was all in Subic. It will take you 3 hours to reach Subic from Manila. I was very excited (again! hehe) because it will be another first for me. That was (above) our ticket looks like. The ticket that we had cost Php 350.00 (1$ = Php50?) and our lunch and the entire park facilities are already covered on it. Since we were in a group tour we had a tour guide with us. Not the one accompanying us in our tourist bus but a resident staff of the park. She first tour us in... [50 More Photos. Be sure your computer won't complain after you open this!]

here. She had lectured us in all the things that we should know about dolphins, turtles, whales, shark and sea lion like their habitat, food, behavior and their predators. And their no. 1 predator? us, humans!

We went outside because she showed us the apparatus' they are using in training the animals.

I wasn't listening in her discussion because what caught my eyes was this. Ohhh my God! The one I've been looking for. hehehe... It sure looks scary but he/she was so behave.

She let us sit here for a while....

and after a few minutes we went here. At the Shark Viewing Deck.

I supposed to take a picture of the dolphins because they were jumping but I lost my attention to them so I wasn't able to have one.

She had a brief lecture again on the reason why this mammals are dying and sad to say it's us humans who are treat to their lives.

After that we then proceeded to the tandadadang...

Sea lion show. Oh My! I looked like a kid when the sea lions entered. I was sitting at the front so I can have a clear view of them. I was just smiling all the time while looking at them. I was like a crazy kid that time...hehehe

I was amazed how the trainers have taught this creatures to do this tricks. It must have been really hard for them.

In each show they will choose a one lucky guest and my classmate was chosen. She needs to be kiss by this cute male sea lion. hahaha but she wasn't expecting on what happened next, we all actually. The sea lion himself requested to kiss her in...

THE LIPS! hahahahahaha...They look good to each other right?

After the show they were returned to the training center for them to rest.

Then after that we had our lunch. I was not hungry at all because I was already full by the sea lion show that we had watched earlier.

This was our meal. One of my classmate was complaining because the rice was not enough for her..wahehehe

Inside. There's a rice, fried octopus, a small piece of dessert and a ketchup for the fried octopieee...

After our lunch our tour guide showed us their very own aquarium.

A lot of tanks full of fishes. This one is just an example.

The best part of their trick was this 2 moves. This is the first one where the false whale shark lifted that full grown male trainer of his. So amazing! and

this is the 2nd one. That whale was a strong one. I wish I have one of this so if I want to travel to other places I will just have to ride on its back! hehehe

After the show ended. I demand for more!!!

The last area to visit in an amusement park is of course the gift shop so before we leaved we pop by on their shop. I bought this bag.

Palm Plaza Hotel

After the long, tiring, yet memorable day we check-in in our reserved accommodation. The hotel we stayed was just a standard hotel but for me its more on above the standard. This was our key. Here's the bed. It's a single bed and unfortunately Josephus owned the bed so I need to sleep on the extra bed. Josephus has no manners! haha

When I opened the curtains this was what I saw. Robinsons Manila is just a step ahead. And you know what? We went there right after we change our attires. Grabbing the opportunity, hehe!

Let's Have Fun at Enchanted Kingdom!

The best part of our first day was the ride-all-you-can stop-over in Enchanted Kingdom. When we arrived in the parking lot of E.K. we were instructed to wait then because they'll be getting the ticket first before we go out. That time my feet are already burning madly because it wants to go out already. Too much excitement I must say! hahaha. So this was the ticket look liked(above). After them distributing the... Ticket they told us to go out. I stood up as quickly as possible... well, after this shot because of extreme excitement. hahaha

Tadadang. I could already see the entrance gate. I intentionally went behind them to cover the moment perfectly. From the bus to the entrance. Crheeeeazy!!!

I could already hear the voices of people screaming, shouting because of the rides that can make you pee at any moment. hahaha

The fountains was perfect. Although Disney Land is incomparable to E.K. I still felt I'm in Disneyland!

This was the first ride we checked. Later did we know that this ride is splashy. Why?

because you'll be wet if you'll ride. Look at this picture. then

after a few minutes here they come.....all wet....hahahaha

I hope they change the water daily. If not those people who got wet must be really smelly.

despite of getting wet their smiles are proof that the ride is fun. But not with us. We don't want to get wet in our first ride no!

We supposed to check this but we decided not to because we felt there's no fun inside. hahaha

Although we didn't care to have a try in this for-kids ride I still took a picture of it for my little brother. When I arrived home I told him I did ride on this then he got jealous to me. hahaha....

This ride must be super scary yet super fun but it was not use when we checked it. Because of that we decided to ride in, if not equally scary then it would probably be equally fun, the roller-coaster ride!

You can see our fake-smiling face. Just kidding. I tought I wouldn't be scared, shout, or I will close eyes when it will start to roll but I was wrong. It was scary..hahaha..I almost peed that time. Just kidding!

that you will feel very dizzy. I wish we didn't tried this. I almost vomit after the ride.

Some of my classmates tried the bumpcars but not me. We have this in Cebu so I din't bother to try it.

So we waited for them to finish. While waiting

we bought some shake drinks coz we were so thirsty from shouting.

While waiting for our other classmates we saw our teacher walking alone. So he joined us. We followed him and we ended up falling in line here.

This is a common ride in an amusement park, right?

I always see this on tv and now I got the chance of experiencing it myself.

Gwen was hesitant to ride but I pursued her to try and I succeed. This is her.

The ride wasn't scary and

it isn't that fun at all too. Just like the air-balloon ride the after effect is dizziness!!!!

We walked and

went to the other side of the park.

We tried this moving-back-and-forth-boat and I must say this was the best ride in Enchanted Kingdom. At first I tought it's not scary

because how can this ride be scary if it will only go back and forth. But I was wrong. You'll have a mix feeling when you'll ride this.

It was our turn then. When we seated I still did not feel that it will be a one heck scary ride!

When it started to run I already felt the thrill slowly by slowly and then after it had it's full speed I already shouted "Let me out in here!!!!!!!!!!!" The photo above was when we where in the top. We were seated in the bottom part of the ship so it was really scarier compared to those who were just seated in the middle. You will felt like you will fell down at any moment when you're on top. My feet was shaking and

my eyes were already teary that time but at the same time I was super happy and would love to have a second round of it. hahaha... I love this ride. I want to try this again soon....

Our last ride was the Wheel of Fate.

At first we all decided to have it a try but

at the last minute all of them back-outed and only me and my teacher left. They

were scared about how high it may goes but they did not know how happy I was when we were in the top.

We were taken pictures by the staff and we have the option to take the picture after the ride or not. Ofcourse we did not. hahahaha

I took this when we were already at the top. The breeze of the air is so refreshing. The lights all over the place was so amusing. Ladies and Gentlemen this is Enchanted Kingdom during night via aerial view!

So nice, right?

I wish my neighborhood's houses are similar to these.

and there's a baking store just like this nearby but I know this won't happen. hahaha

Lunch Time @ Viewsite Restaurant

After the quick visit at the Tagaytay Country Hotel we went here for our lunch. The restaurant they picked was perfect. The scenery is so refreshing. We could see the Taal Volcano from where we were seated. I totally love the place. The wind was not I normally felt when I'm in Cebu. The view at viewsite! lolz. It does rhyme isn't it? When I was still a kid, although I still am, I dreamed of coming here and now it was granted. Thanks to my VERY supportive parents who sponsored me financially and if not to Our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ, who always, ever since bless my family, I will not be coming here either. Thank You Lord.

Weeh! It has been a while since the last time I have eaten fish because of that M.V. Princess of the Stars tragedy. lolz. I was thinking what if when we will buy fish and when we open it there will be hair of human or a finger of one of those victims perhaps that have been eaten by the fish. *Collapse* thats why I decided not to eat fish for MONTHS!!!!

Tagaytay Country Hotel

We arrived in Tagaytay at around 12pm already but we visited the Tagaytay Country Hotel first before we had our lunch. This hotel is a standard type hotel or 3 star hotel. This is what I'm planning to have in the future. [10 MORE PHOTOS INSIDE]

One of the staff there toured us around the vicinity of the hotel. As what I said this is just a standard hotel so what you can only see there are the standard utilities, facilities and amenities that a hotel should have.

This is there suite room. I'm not that sure though.

After that we went to their Function Hall where we were thought in the correct procedure in arranging a bed.

On Our Way to........ DAY 1 Starts Here!

After our breakfast at Chowking we headed directly to our next stop and its in toooooooot. While on our way our tour guide uttered so much information about the place every kilometer our tourist bus had took. It took us 3 hours to reached there and that whole 3 hours he or "she" (lolz!) was talking. NONE STOP. and it's not just an ordinary talks but its' all facts, real information about the place, and I salute him for that. His experience in tour guiding must have mold him to be that good. Yes, I was listening to him the whole time but not all he said was absorbed into my spacious mind because of tiredness from our flight (I love say ing that..flight..hahaha) and do you know what were my classmates doing while he was talking? Sleeping! lolz. In short our T. G. was just like facing a mirror and was talking to himself. But not all, there were some who was awake that time but I wasn't sure if they were listening to him. Hehehe

Those buildings are in Makati City (Am I right?) the business capital city of the Philippines. A lot of skyscraper buildings are located here. I'm just wondering how many floors would be the tallest one have. Here in Cebu, Crown Regency, is the tallest building so far and base from what I heard the tallest building in Makati could reach up to 50+ floors. Woooh! If there will be an on going maintenance on a particular 70 storey building there I wonder how can the employees working in the 69th floor survive walking that high. lolz!

The photo I took isn't so clear but that is the Brent International School. It's one of the most expensive school I've ever heard. Guess what students going there are sons and daughters of important individuals in high society and in government. Like sons and daughters of Politicians , ambassadors, celebrities and more! Even the children of Manny Pacman Pacquiao is studying there! Your tuition fee every semester would be approximately Php 1/2 Million (500k) if you are going to study there, would you want to? hahaha.

Well, if you don't have a car and you want to save your transportation expenses you don't have to worry at all because they are also offering not just rooms but "HOUSES"!!! and it's also cheap just like the tuition fee that you'll be dealing about. The yearly rental is about Php 1 million only! hahaha.. roughly $25,000!!!

We were almost in our destination when we pass by on this. BTW, This is a plantation branch of those carbonated drinks brands. Our T. G. said that this branch is an eco-friendly-whatever because what they're using to clean the bottles of coca-cola, sprite, pepsi is warm water. The water that comes directly from the faucet without going into a filtering process. I really have no idea if he was telling the truth. hahahaha. TAGAYTAY!!! Oh God! Another first for me!!! lolz. They said that the creter of that volcano which is called Taal Volcano is a creter within a creter because that whole lake was said to be a creter of a volcano. Im pretty sure if you are an avid fan of Discovery Channel or NatGeo this tale is not new to you!!!

Going to......... For Our Breakfast!

At last! We are already set to have our breakfast. We need to replenish the carbo that we lost before going to our first destination to have enough energy. How can we going to enjoy the scenery in tooooot if we are all tired and hungry, right? hehe. And besides my baby worms inside me are already crying out loud and same goes to my classmates I guess. So while going to *the name of the restaurant* we pass by many well-known places which I only heard and seen in news before. I was so happy even though the view is no comparable to Paris. Bowl-Patterned Building which I forgot its name. What I only remembered is that this building was a project of former first lady of the Philippines, my grandmother, Emilda Ramos and this is an Amphitheater. Our tour guide said that that building is divided into parts, if I' am not mistaken there are 3 amphitheater inside. There's small, medium and large. just like ordering a softdrinks in mcdonalds. hahaha. There's a fountain in the front and if there are shows held inside it will determine which amphiteater they 're using. If the fountain is so high that means to say that the biggest amphiteater is being use. Cool, right?

Manila Yacht Club. Our tour guide said that you can join the club if you have 1 or 2 million. Just for the membership excluding your yacht.

The very famous Manila Bay. Known for its perfect sunset. An american scattered the news in his homeland that here in Manila bay has the most perfect sunset in the entire world. Wait, is it sunset or sunrise? ahhh!!! Im confused! I guess its sunset. Ah no! It's sunrise. Grrhhh..I dont know.

USA Embassy. I was shocked when our tour guide told us that this piece of land is already an American territory so you can't easily come inside. And if you are pregnant and you unintentionally or "intentionally" gave birth inside your child will be given a full scholar from her preschool stage down to her/his college years. So to all preggy out there if you want to save youself from responsibilities just visit the US Embassy. hahaha

This is the first place where the body of Dr. Rizal was burried after he was shot to kill in Bagong Bayan. But was eventually moved to Luneta. Am' I right?

Oh Gawd! I can already smell the Manila scent! toinks. The photo above is already the "Parking Lot" of my father's planes in NAIA 3! hahahahaha. By the way N.A. stands for Ninoy Aquino so N.A.I.A. stands for Ninoy Aquino International Airport 3. It is 3 because it's the third terminal of N.A.I.A. . It is the latest airport in the Philippines and I guess the biggest of all. It was only opened recently because of the scandals and issues it had encountered. They are just still in the testing process so only Cebu Pacific and PAL are operating there and only few International flights are available as of the moment. [9 MORE PHOTOS INSIDE]

Waaaaah!!!! They're already going out. Oh I was so excited during this time. Hahahaha. I already want to go out but I can't because they're still too many passengers going out.

When the plane started to take off my heart was beating so fast. hahahaha... Then slowly by slowly I felt that it already take-off. From the moment the engine started to roll I was just looking at the window the whooole time. So, I witness how it got separated from the land while Mr. Gravity failed to pull us down, how the houses little by little appeared smaller.. It was like I was just still 7 years old who was amaze by everything he saw. harharhar... When the belt sign was already off and the plane was already stable this... [8 MORE PHOTOS INSIDE]

was the first picture I took. I don't know which part of Cebu or other Region is this. All I know is that the view is uber stunning. The mountains, hills or whatever it is form like waves, isn't it?

Wow, the clouds is so fascinating. I felt like I was in heaven that time. hahahaha... I was thinking while looking at the clouds "Angels" will pop in my face in any moment. hahahaha!!!!

I think this is an aerial view of a city in Luzon because we're almost near in the Ninoy Aquino International Airport that time. It's just so amazing how a city looks so tiny when you're on top of it.

Hahahahaha. It looks so small but I bet when you're down there you'll be lost.

There's no doubt! That mountain is Mount Mayon, the said to be the World's Perfect Cone Volcano. Well, before it errupted in the 90's of course. But still I haven't seen any other volcano all over the world which has as perfect cone structure as this.

We were almost in Manila when I took this.

Even in riding a plane you'll still have seatmates. lols. In going to Manila my seatmate was Joan and hers was James.

Manila - Tagaytay - Subic... Here We Come!!!

Weeeehhhh!!!! I was so happy and excited. In our HRM 3 class our teacher decided to have a 3 days tour in Manila - Tagaytay - Subic. Of course it was not mandatory but I still joined. Hahahahaha. Everything was my first time. From the plane to the tourist spots! Everything! that's why I was very very excited. We need to be at the airport in 4:00am because our flight was in 6:00am but the plane was late. It was so funny coz I was not mad, upset or whatsoever despite the fact that our whole plan for that day will be broken. Hahahaha probably to much excitement was in me. Finally, the plane arrived. My first reaction when I saw that was I was nervous because I don't know what's the feeling inside the plane,and excited because again everything in that tour was my first.

Oh Gawd!!! Where almost there. Look at them. They were as excited as I 'am. hehehe

I was already sitting when I took this picture. The crew where already loading our luggages and it was almost ready to take off! That time I don't know what will be my reaction when the plane will start to move and fly...lolz. hahaha...

Siglakas/Intramurals is one of the best event in the school for me because the talents of the students are showcase in sports, Literary Contest or in pageant and above all there is no class! Weeeh! hahahaha! I know we have the same reason why we love it. Mr. and Ms. Siglakas pageant always comes first and usually opens Siglakas and these past years SB (School of Business) candidates always get the title and this year my friend and classmate joined the competition. I was really hoping that she will win...she should or else I'll kill her...*evil laugh* bwahahahahahaha... Now, last year I was sitting in the floor the whole show because there are no vacant sits when I arrived and this year I was standing the whole show. My God! In the first 2 years of my stay here in SWU I was late in the same event. Poor me. huhuhuhu...

After a few Introductions tadadadadang..the candidates...They are all the representatives in each college. In College of education if my memory serves me right their representative was a korean..hahahahaha...he was so funny coz when it was his turn to do a pose he did a korean cute pose (I dont know what it's called). And in the Maritime College they didn't have a female representative coz they're all boys okay!

In the left side ,facing the stage , of AZCO (Aznar Coliseum). Even though I will be standing or sitting in the floor the whole time I will never sit in this area because what will you only see are the back of the candidates and the presentor.

In the other side of the coliseum. I bet the candidates feels like celebrities when they pass by in these photographers and cameraman. One of them is from a local channel here in Cebu.

and the winner is........Guess who's this! She's my classmate...I was so happy that she won because It's our college pride no! I have a picture of us together but I was so ugly there coz my sweat are all over my face because it was so hot where I was standing during the show.
